How it Works
Securing The ShackleTM to the top of your vehicle is a snap.

Step 1: Decide where you want The ShackleTM positioned on your vehicle roof. Smaller vehicles may want to attach The ShackleTM towards the back of the vehicle, so that access to birds is gained from the rear bumper. Larger vehicles may want to position The ShackleTM towards the front, gaining access to the birds from the running boards or inside the open doors.

Step 2: Remove packing material and separate The ShackleTM into three pieces: the single cross-member and two side rails. Note that all pieces have a smooth side, and the smooth sides should always be facing out during assembly.

Step 3: Remove and install the two included rubber strips to the middle portion of the cross-member bottom. There are two small tick lines approximately nine inches apart to use as a guide. Make sure that the area is clean. Apply firm pressure to ensure good contact.

Step 4: Insert the T-shaped ends of the single cross-member into the slot on each of the side rails.

Step 5: Loosen one or both of the horizontal cross bars on your vehicle, moving them so that The ShackleTM will be close to its desired position on your vehicle. The recently applied rubber strips should be directly above the raised center ribs on your vehicle roof.

Step 6: Slide The Shackle's wedge-shaped side rail ends under your cross bars and fit in place.

Step 7: Slide your cross bars toward each other so that the fit is snug. Tighten your luggage rack horizontal cross members.

Step 8: Birds are held in place by inserting their necks into the neck-holes of The ShackleTM (be sure to choose the right hole size for your birds).

Step 9: Enjoy the hunt!
